The Hannibal Board of Education proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Roy Webb as the new District Superintendent, subject to a formal background check. The decision was unanimous, following a detailed search and interview process, where Mr. Webb was recognized as the leading candidate due to his extensive experience and strong commitment to quality education.
Mr. Webb has 33 years of experience in education, most recently serving as Superintendent of Quincy Public School District from 2015-2022. There, he led a significant $89 million project to build five new schools and guided the district through various transitions, including the pandemic. His background includes roles as a teacher, coach, athletic director, principal, and superintendent, where he consistently demonstrated effective leadership.
"I want to thank the Hannibal School District Board of Education and stakeholders for offering me the opportunity to serve as the new Hannibal Public School District Superintendent, Mr. Webb commented. "I have been blessed to be a part of a few outstanding educational teams, including right across the river with the Blue Devil family. I will bring experience and a commitment to maintaining your outstanding system and work with you as we strive to improve."

Mr. Roy Webb will officially assume his role as District Superintendent on July 1, 2024.
