Meredith Morrison: Math & Advanced Math

This is my 5th year here at Hannibal Middle School teaching 7th grade. I attended the University of Central Missouri and graduated in 2006 with a bachelor’s of science in middle school education 5 – 9, with an emphasis on mathematics. This is my 10th year in education. 

Amanda Huber: Math & Advanced Math

I began teaching in 2012 and I am thankful that each of these years have been at Hannibal Middle School. I graduated from Culver-Stockton College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Middle School mathematics and history. I received my Masters in Education in 2019. I am from Monroe City, but now reside in Palmyra with my husband, Alex, and my sons, Gunnar and Granger. We have a spoiled dog named Grunt. 

Melinda Kneib: Instructional Coach & Math 

I'm excited to begin my 13th year of teaching math! This is my 9th year teaching 7th grade math here at Hannibal Middle School. My previous four years in education were spent teaching 8th grade math and Algebra 1 for the Ralls County school district. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Education from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. I am certified to teach both elementary and middle school math. My husband, Jason, and I reside outside of Bowling Green with our daughter Bryleigh. I enjoy spending time with my family and reading.  

Shawn Gaines: Math & Advanced Math

This is my first year Teaching at Hannibal Middle School and I’m beyond excited. I graduated from Culver-Stockton College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016. I obtained my teaching certification in 2021. The year prior, while working on my certification, I was able to work with students as a Teacher’s aide at HMS while coaching football for Hannibal High School, as well as, the 8th & 9th grade Girl’s basketball Teams at HMS & HHS. I am originally from Columbia, Missouri but I reside in Quincy, Illinois with my wife, Kaity,  two dogs, King & Addie, and my Cat, Zoey. 

Liliana Caples : Math & Advanced Math

Hello! My name is Liliana Caples. I am so excited to be teaching 7th-grade math at Hannibal Middle School. I graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange University with a Secondary Education in Mathematics Bachelor of Science degree in 2020. I also participated in the traveling a cappella group, Chamber Choir, the Concert Choir, and I had major roles in the musicals there. I love music! It is one of my many hobbies that also includes traveling, knitting, crafting, playing games, and spending time with friends and family. I was recently married to the love of my life, Harrison Caples, on December 19, 2020. Harrison and I met during one of the musicals that I performed in at HLGU. We reside in Hannibal where we can be close to my wonderful family!

I am in my 11th year of teaching of English Language Arts. Now, I am in my ninth year as an ELA teacher and HMS boys basketball coach at HMS. I am a graduate of Truman State University where I acquired my Bachelor's Degree in English and a Master's Degree in Education.
